Thom Geier, the founder and CEO of Culture Sauce, is an award-winning writer and editor with a special passion for American pop culture. In 2024, he won the National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Award for theater/performing arts criticism for his review of Twyla Tharp’s How Long Blues.

Up until 2022, he served as executive editor of TheWrap.com, a digital news site covering Hollywood, media and pop culture.

He previously was a senior editor at Entertainment Weekly, where he oversaw coverage of movies, theater, and books. He is a veteran Oscarologist on GoldDerby.com, a regular moderator at film panels and events, and has made appearances on CNN, NBC’s Today, CBS’ Early Show, ABC News, Access Hollywood, Fox News, VH1, and EW Radio on Sirius.

His work has been published in Entertainment Weekly, The Hollywood Reporter, US, The New York Times, The Weekly Standard, U.S. News & World Report and a host of other fine publications.

He lives in New York City, and can knot a bow tie with his eyes closed.
